About me
David has been Life’s Community Liaison Manager for nearly 7 years. He works closely with a wide range of communities including autistic, deaf, sight loss, African, Asian, seeking to improve accessibility for all. This relationship building has led to the creation of volunteering opportunities. Life’s partnership work supporting the autistic community, received a Mariano Gago award at the Ecsite Conference 2022. Since then Life have received an number of awards and accreditations for accessibility, inclusion and partnership work. David is an Advocate within the Diversi group which seeks to address equality, diversity, and inclusion issues across Europe's science sector, and beyond. Prior to working at Life, he worked deep within communities, having managed housing estates, anti-social behaviour and homeless teams, and tenant participation and community development.
