About me
Dr Ben Littlefield (he/him) is Head of Public Engagement at the University of Southampton, and has nearly 20 years experience in science communication, outreach, widening participation and public engagement at both Universities and Science Centres. He leads initiatives that drive cross-institutional culture-change and supports a team that runs both major Science and Art Festivals, Research Roadshows, Community Hubs, Training and Funding programmes and projects that intersect with Civic Engagement. He believes in the democratisation of research through honest, power sharing collaboration and in his spare time he collects uranium sea glass and thinks up new chemistry demonstrations.
