About me
Ella is the Sustainability Coordinator at We The Curious and the newest member of the Sustainable Futures Team, having joined in April 2023. Her role involves wearing many hats, from coordinating a cross-departmental team focused on sustainability initiatives to processing carbon data that helps track the organisation’s environmental impact. Alongside the Carbon Manager, she has rolled out procurement training, ensuring that every purchase the organisation makes is as responsible as possible. And, she has helped share We The Curious’s sustainability journey with other organisations across the city of Bristol and beyond, including fellow science centres.
Her background in the built environment led her to start her career in sustainability consultancy, working on BREEAM construction projects. She has also worked in festival sustainability, contributing to A Greener Future research and coordinating sustainability assessments for the Green Man festival. Working at We The Curious has allowed her to blend these two worlds in a really unique way. She loves being a part of the science centre sector and how, amongst many other things, it supports meaningful dialogue about climate change and sustainability.
